LG Electronics, a leading consumer electronics brand in the UK, sought to boost awareness and sales of their XBOOM speaker range among university students. Known for their innovation and quality across a diverse product lineup—including TVs, smartphones, home appliances, and audio systems—LG aimed to position the XBOOM speakers as the go-to audio solution for students. They wanted to emphasize the speakers’ superior sound quality and innovative features, making them an indispensable part of student life. The goal was to create compelling campaigns that would resonate with students, highlighting the XBOOM speakers’ ability to enhance both study sessions and social gatherings, ultimately driving increased brand engagement and sales within this key demographic.
To engage a young student audience, we teamed up with two popular influencers to create compelling and informative short-form videos. These creators, beloved by their followers, presented themselves as relatable study companions for university life. The content seamlessly blended valuable insights with personal anecdotes, making it feel genuine and engaging rather than overly promotional. Viewers found the influencers’ experiences and advice both relatable and inspiring, creating a strong connection and trust with the audience. This approach not only conveyed essential information effectively but also positioned the influencers as credible and approachable mentors, enhancing their overall impact.
Our campaign significantly boosted awareness of LG’s student speaker range, amassing over 1.4 million views. Just two influencers alone garnered over 1.9K hearts, demonstrating strong engagement. The content attracted unprecedented interest from students, resulting in over 23,650 clicks overall. This enthusiastic response translated into record-breaking sales for the LG XBOOM speakers that quarter, underscoring the campaign’s effectiveness in driving both interest and purchases.
